Mason

What will you learn with us?

In this apprenticeship, your field of activity is predominantly in building construction. You are involved with the construction of residential and office buildings as well as industrial constructions. Plastering is also part of the mason’s field of activities.

In addition, you build natural stone walls, install windows and doors, erect lightweight walls, and insulate and waterproof the various components. You set up scaffolding and work on renovations, restorations and adaptations of various structures. Masonry also includes small-scale civil engineering activities.

Period of apprenticeship: 3 years

Theoretical courses (10 weeks) in the Dornbirn vocational school.
2 weeks in the MaurerAusbildungsZentrum MAZ (Mason Training Centre) in Hohenems,
1 week in the PORR Academy during each year of the apprenticeship.
